Before you connect: We can't control your AI model. What ComplianceGPS does is push verified, cited compliance intelligence to it and keep your documents out of model training. An answer is only as safe as your model's settings — so complete the training-off step, and treat every answer as information to verify, never legal advice.

Install it in your AI

The server URL is the only thing to copy:

In Claude

  1. Open Claude → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the server URL above and continue.
  3. You're sent to ComplianceGPS to sign in and approve — standard OAuth, so no password is ever shared with the AI. Approval is per-client and revocable any time.
  4. Claude walks you through turning model training OFF, then confirms it. The compliance tools unlock only after that confirmation.
  5. Ask. Start with “list my documents” to see what you're covered by.

In ChatGPT

  1. You need a ChatGPT plan that allows custom connectors (Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise).
  2. Turn on Developer Mode first: ChatGPT Settings → Connectors → Advanced → enable Developer mode.
  3. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and hit “+” to add a connector.
  4. Name it ComplianceGPS, paste the server URL above, and add it.
  5. Approve the connection — you're sent to ComplianceGPS to sign in and approve (standard OAuth; no password is ever shared with the AI).
  6. ChatGPT walks you through turning model training OFF (Settings → Data Controls), then confirms it. The compliance tools unlock only after that confirmation.
  7. Type @ComplianceGPS in the message box and ask your question.

Gemini, Cursor, and other MCP clients use the same URL — the server implements standard OAuth discovery, so any compliant client can register itself and connect. A signed-in version of this guide lives in the product at app.compliancegps.com/connect.

How it behaves

Your questions stay in your AI

The server hands your AI the governing obligations; your AI composes the answer inside your own client. The full text of what you asked — and the answer you got — never leaves it.

Only what you're entitled to

Your AI reads exactly the documents your plan and organization grant — federal, state, association, MLS, your office's policies, your own uploads. Nothing crosses a tenant boundary.

Cited, or no claim

Answers are formed only from returned obligations, each cited by document and section. Anything outside your documents is an honest deferral, not a guess.

Answers, never exports

The tools answer questions — there is no bulk export of the corpus, and every call is rate-limited and auditable.

Answers are information, not legal advice — always defer to your broker, counsel, or the issuing authority for a final ruling. End a subscription or deactivate a member and access stops on the next call.
