Terms of Service

Effective July 19, 2026 · Written in plain language.

These plain-language terms cover using ComplianceGPS. The short version: we give you cited information, not legal advice; your documents stay yours; and we never train AI models on your data.

Not legal advice

This is the most important term. ComplianceGPSprovides information and citations to the sources you give it — it is not legal adviceand is not a substitute for your Responsible Broker or a licensed attorney. You are responsible for your own compliance decisions. When the system can’t cite a source, it defers — and so should you.

Using the service

You must give accurate account information, keep your login secure, and use ComplianceGPSonly for lawful purposes. You may only upload documents you own or are authorized to use, and you must not upload others’ copyrighted material unlawfully.

No systematic extraction

ComplianceGPSanswers your compliance questions — it is not a database for you to copy. You may not use automated means, scripts, or the chat or connector (MCP) interfaces to systematically extract, harvest, scrape, enumerate, or bulk-download the obligation register, the underlying source corpus, or any substantial part of it, and you may not use the service to build or train a competing product or dataset. Systematic extraction — including walking through obligation identifiers or issuing high-volume automated queries to reconstruct the corpus — is a material breach of these terms. We monitor for extraction patterns and may suspend access for it.

Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the limited permission we need to process your documents and generate your answers. We never use your content to train AI models — see our privacy policy.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through our payment processor. Usage beyond your plan’s allowance may be metered at beta pricing. Payments are non-refundable.On a monthly plan you can cancel any time and keep access through the month you’ve already paid for. On an annual plan, cancelling stops the next yearly renewal and you keep access through the year you’ve already paid for — we don’t refund the remainder of a term. If a payment fails, we fail closed on our own spend, never on your access to your documents — your corpus stays available while billing sorts itself out.

Bring-your-own AI key (BYOK)

If you connect your own AI provider key, you’re responsible for that provider’s terms and costs. We keep your key encrypted and never meter your BYOK usage.

Availability and accuracy

We work hard to keep ComplianceGPSavailable and correct, but the service is provided “as is.” Because rules change and sources vary, always verify a cited answer against the authority it points to before you rely on it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, ComplianceGPS is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated violation of these terms, with notice where practical.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and its effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes. Continuing to use ComplianceGPS means you accept the updated terms.
